Web 2.0 Applications

Well, today I game my first try to Glogster EDU. I created a basic board in which I compiled two or three resources that I would like my students to use to find out more about animals of the savanna.

We are studying ecosystems, animal adaptations and food chains. We studied different kinds of ecosystems, but I could see that they felt most attracted to the African savanna. At this point, I'm not so interested in them finding online information sources, but I do want them to practice reading and summarizing.

It looks like Glogster is a good tool for it. On my first "Glog," I compiled a few sources and gave them instructions to put together this simple research project.

Also, I can see them using this tool to present their own work later on, as a virtual poster. So, this glog will help them with their current assignment and will also be a sample of what they can create in the short future.

I am excited about this tool! Until soon, with more ideas on how to use Glogster EDU.
